As you know, one of the great advantages of taking an AP class in high school is that you may be able to get college credit for passing your AP exam. For those of you who are starting to look at potential colleges in detail, the College Board has a website where you can check to see what credit your potential college offers based on your AP scores. Picking a college that will honor your AP course work could save you real time and money!
For example: if you are taking AP English Literature and Composition and want to be able to get credit for a freshman year English class, DePaul will give you credit only if you receive a 4 or higher on your AP exam, but Columbia College will give you credit if you receive a 3 or higher on the exam.
To search for the colleges that you're interested in go to the College Board's Credit Policy website.
